Northern Kentucky Candidate Forum
Cincinnati Permaculture Institute, in collaboration with Green Umbrella's Greenspace Alliance and partners, would like to invite you to join us for part two of an in-person candidate forum on balancing economic development and greenspace preservation in Northern Kentucky, featuring County Commissioner candidates running for local office in Boone, Kenton, and Campbell counties.
Part 1 of the forum was held in April before the primary election in May. All county commissioner candidates were invited to attend the initial forum and answer questions relating to greenspace and economic development. You can read more about Part 1 by clicking on this link. Topics for Part 2 will be expanded from those initially discussed to include pressing concerns such as data centers, eminent domain, agricultural land use, among other topics. All questions will be curated by partners and the public prior to the event.
The forum will take place on Wednesday, September 23rd from 6-7:30 pm in the Anne Room of the Erlanger Branch of the Kenton County Library. RSVP here to reserve your spot!

FruitFest at Urban Artifact
Join us for our annual Fruit Fest event, where we celebrate the perennial edibles of the Ohio River Valley Region. Education: Focused on the development of our permaculture design courses, curriculum design, and teacher training.
Nursery: Focused on operations at Growing Value Nursery and projects at the properties on Enright Ave, as well as implementations and workshops.
Our current main agenda item is planning and fundraising for our new properties in East Price Hill. To be involved in decision-making about these properties, please consider becoming a full board member.

Corner Building Volunteer Workday
Please join us at 3642 W. Eighth St (corner of Enright Ave.) as you can on Sunday, June 19 from 10am-1pm.
CPI board members Braden Trauth and Jess Rinehart will be there to coordinate the tasks.
We will be getting the CPI common space shipshape, which includes general cleanup and waste removal both inside and outside the building. With this step completed, we will be more prepared to move on to beautification tasks like painting and decorating.

A weekend of innovative workshops, hands-on demonstrations, juicy conversations, good food, and dynamic networking at beautiful HeartValley Springs campground. Join other permaculture novices and experts beginning Friday 4pm. Settle in, stay one or two nights, take in a buffet of diverse talent and rich experience, and head out Sunday refreshed and reinspired. We'll work, eat, and learn together, leave a friendly footprint on the 90-acre landscape, and celebrate speakers from across and beyond the Great Rivers and Lakes bioregion.
