Now Accepting Applicants for Our New Yearlong Residential Permaculture Training

Are you looking to deepen your permaculture knowledge, and learn in a hands-on way?

Cincinnati Permaculture Institute is launching a special residential permaculture training that allows you to study, observe, and work through the course of all four seasons in our new permaculture education center in Cincinnati, Ohio.

This program combines enrollment in our yearlong permaculture design course with affordable housing, work-learn sessions in our edible perennial nursery and local edible gardens, and independent project work, for a comprehensive and well-rounded permaculture education.

We welcome applicants (18 and older) from within and around the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky region, as well as around the world.

THE PROGRAMMING

  • 4 hours hands-on work each weekend with our permaculture leaders and teachers

  • 1 full Saturday a month of permaculture design classtime with our yearlong PDC cohort

  • 2 hours a week devoted to working on an independent learning project of your choosing

  • Work will include helping with community gardens, edible landscaping, helping to run a non-profit edible landscaping nursery and many other great projects to build out resilience around the City of Cincinnati and beyond. Learn how to forage, harvest and process local food as well.

THE HOUSING

Included in this program is dormitory-style shared housing for up to 4 students at a time in a 1BR/1BA second-floor apartment in the neighborhood of East Price Hill, Cincinnati. Secure private entry and on-street parking.
