This internship provides an opportunity to learn with both the Cincinnati Permaculture Institute (Thursday- Saturday) and Eden Urban Gardens,LLC, ( Monday-Wednesday) for an unpaid internship for educational and other benefits.
Internship will last between 8-10 weeks with focus on the following:
Permaculture design, native plants and permaculture implementation
Understand permaculture and how it relates to community & environment.
Opportunity to assist in permaculture workshop and nursery production.
USDA Certified Organic Farming in the city on reclaimed urban properties.
Gain an understanding of National Organic Practices (NOP) guidelines & implementation into practice on a farm.
Install & design farm infrastructure for crop production.
Permaculture design, and maintained integrated into crop production.
Animal husbandry of poultry and rabbits for agriculture.
Increasing soil fertility, beneficial plants & insects and long term sustainability.
Learn intensive growing techniques that can yield large amounts in small spaces.
Extensive networking with local permaculture and farming communities.
If desired, job placement assistance and planning for next steps if seeking work in the field in the region. We have lots of connections and can help you prepare!

Free organic produce for intern to take for themselves for other meals.
Requirements:
Intern must have a 8-10 week block of time for internship during the year.
Be willing to sign a liability release waiver.
Ability to walk, bend and move for extended periods of time in outside weather.
Possess a positive attitude and willingness to learn and engage!
