• We are proud to be hosting our first Year Long Permaculture Design Certification "Through the Seasons". It will be held one saturday a month over 12 months with a 2 day weekend at the start and finish. This course is the cutting edge green training globally and has spawned many evolutionary students who are rethinking and healing the way we live on Planet Earth around the Globe. It is a comprehensive design training that will train you how to create ethically resilient and regenerative systems (be it Homes, Yards, Farms, Businesses, Non-Profits or Governmental Policies) that work with Humanity and Nature symbiotically and enhance natures ability to create and offer stability to humanity. We have trained well over 100 students in our Annual Winter Weekend Certification over the last 8 years here in Cincinnati and are now expanding it to be more flexible yet more comprehensive by hosting it through the seasons over one year. This Certification is internationally recognized as originally developed by Bill Mollison and will allow you to become a member of the Permaculture Institute of North America and its support network for professional Designers as well as the regional representative, the Great Lakes and Rivers Permaculture Institute. It also allows you to go on and achieve your Diploma in Permaculture and become a teacher of Permaculture.

  • It will take place on Saturdays, once a month, except the opening and closing weekend, which will be a Saturday and Sunday.

This course will cover:

• The foundations of Permaculture Design Methods,
• Permaculture Principles
• Permaculture Ethics
• Foundations of Ecology
• Gardening, Farming, Building and working with many more aspects of society be it Urban or Rural in a Permaculture based way.
• Halting and reversing Climate Change 
• Understanding Energy, both renewable and non-renewable
• Permaculture based Community Design
• Invisible structures: ie: Government, Economics, Community ethics

It will include:

• Hands on experiences and on site visits of functioning Permaculture sites around the Tristate region.
• A Course Packet and Handouts
• Some local meals will be provided.
• Free Attendance to future Permaculture Design Certifications Hosted by the Cincinnati Permaculture Institute to touch up on the knowledge (Food and Course Materials Extra)
