By becoming a Member you help us to continue our resilient, regenerative and symbiotic building endeavors to build a permanent culture in Greater Cincinnati generations to come. This includes our educational tabling, public lectures, our social media communities, educational scholarships for those in need, the creation of public forage gardens around Cincinnati, and much more. Each strand we add to our web, we know that it is laying the foundation of sustainability for our Grandchildren's Grandchildren. Your membership is supporting this on going work.
The Growing Value edible perennial nursery in Price Hill is a nonprofit nursery hosting a rare selection of regionally-tested food forest favorites. All CPI Neighbors get an additional discount on our already low prices. The more you use your membership to purchase plants, the more value you will get from it, not only in dollars, but in the food forest you’re putting in your neighborhood. It’s win-win-win for the earth, for the community, and for the continuity of our mission.
Benefits of Membership
All CPI Neighbors get a discount at the Growing Value Nursery and their choice of a membership gift upon joining, which can be claimed on your first visit to the nursery. Members will also be added to our e-mail newsletter list to receive regular updates on permaculture happenings, advice and resources, volunteer opportunities and more. Members are invited to join our Cincinnati Permaculture Guild group on Facebook to connect with each other and share discussions, links, and resources with each other. Some of our teaching partners and affiliates also extend discounts to our members on a case by case basis.
Membership dues help support us in making necessary upgrades to the nursery facility and the neighboring “Icehouse Garden” which we are transforming into a public resource for permaculture demonstrations and education together with our neighborhood partner, Tending Roots. Improvements like signage, structural repairs, paint, greenhouse maintenance, seasonal interns, and workshop spaces are all on our wish list, and we appreciate your support!
INDIVIDUAL ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP
Starting in 2025, we have condensed our individual membership levels into a one-size-fits-all annual membership of $60 - just $5/month! New members can choose from our available membership gifts on their next visit to the nursery. Also included in membership:

10% Off Other Events & Classes - We offer many free workshops and hands-on “work & learn” opportunities throughout the year, but in the event that we charge for a workshop or event, members may elect to take this discount.
INDIVIDUAL LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP
Starting in 2025, we are offering the option to become a Lifetime Member of Cincinnati Permaculture Institute! A one-time donation of $1,000 secures your individual membership benefits permanently - no need to renew annually, and if we change or add benefits to membership over time, lifetime members automatically qualify.
Business Membership:
If you are planning to buy a lot of plants (for example, to complete landscaping projects for clients or stock your own plant sales) or train people in your organization in Permaculture Design, this membership is the way to go.
