Implementation Days: A Succession Plan for Our Permaculture Education
In 2023, Cincinnati Permaculture Institute launched our pilot Implementation Days program, in response to our community’s voiced desire for continuing education and hands-on learning opportunities above and beyond our full Permaculture Design Certification courses. At Implementation Days, we work with CPI graduates and teachers to host specialized hands-on learning and practice with various farm & homesteading skills at different sites across the Tri-State. Topics and projects vary by site; examples include plant selection, irrigation, earthworks, urban farming, and using hand tools. The program is also designed to showcase student design projects that are developed in our yearlong PDC class. The program continues to evolve as we pilot it - read more about its inception here.
How to Sign UP
Implementation Days are envisioned as an “advanced” level of our permaculture education, and PDC graduates and certificate holders are eligible. If you have not taken a PDC, you may still participate in implementation days; however, these are not intended as introductory classes or substitutes for a permaculture design course.
