Walk-In Shopping returns to Growing Value Nursery on Arbor Day - Friday, April 24, from 5-7 PM, and again Saturday, April 25 from 10 AM to 2 PM - our spring sale kickoff!

Our walk-in shopping hours this spring will be Thursdays and Fridays, 5-7PM and Saturdays 10 AM to 2 PM, along with select Sundays (to be announced). As always, you can also make an appointment to shop through our website.

Our inventory boasts an unparalleled selection of edible perennials, trees, vines, pollinator companions, and medicinal herbs, specially selected for what thrives in our bioregion. Some of our favorite highlights include:

• Trees: Kentucky Coffee, Trifoliate Orange, and Pawpaw

• Nitrogen Fixers: Siberian Pea Shrub, False Indigo

• Berries: Aronia, Honeyberry, Gooseberry, Currants

• Vines: Hops, Passionflower, Hardy Kiwi

• Herbaceous & Root: Blue Flag Iris, Motherwort, Sunchokes

Volunteers are still needed at the nursery! Sign up in advance for our scheduled volunteer days at our properties on Enright Ave. The April & May schedule is now published and has many opportunities on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Tasks could include potting, labeling, moving plants, applying compost and mulch, maintaining the checkout area and helping to conduct plant sales as the season kicks off. We’ll be working at the nursery as well as the “Icehouse Lot” at the corner of Enright & Price.
